Vintage Deco 1927 RCA Radiola Model 16 Converted to Bluetooth 2 Speaker Stereo

This is a 1927 RCA Radiola radio model 16. Back in the day this battery operated unit connected to outside speakers would have been the top of the line for the new fangled radio stuff. Made in New York this radio was retailed thru Maceys, I found the brass tag. Made of solid mahogany with a thin line inlay of maple on the front panel.  I think it has some very nice lines. Sorry to say this one was a real mess needing some TLC. Removed all of the old radio parts to make room for the new electronics. The wood case had some damage & the original finish was in poor condition. Sanded the case and used some toner to even out the color before covering with a satin lacquer finish. Looks much better now. Cleaned & polished the brass bezels on the front panel including the name plate. Wanted to up the cool by drilling out 2 holes on the front panel & install 2 chrome top antique radio tubes ( non-working) . Looking good. Drilled out holes on both sides for the 2 new Pioneer 4″ speakers. On the inside installed a new 50 watt digital Bluetooth amp connected to the new Pioneer speakers. Added a new knob for the on/off/volume switch on the front panel. Used period correct speaker cloth to cover the speakers. Please review the pics. Was able to reuse the original back panel. All of the electronics are hard wired and secured to the inner supports insure a long life.  This is one of a kind Bluetooth speaker that is deco cool that has great sound. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. There is a new electrical plug also. The 1927 RCA deco radio converted to Bluetooth speaker measures 16.5″ x 8.” x 6.5″ and is a little heavy because of the solid wood case. Will look good, sound great and fit anywhere.
