1843 London Sterling Silver Salt Cellar W/ Oriental Motifs

Description

This
is a beautiful antique silver salt from a local estate. It measures 3 ¼ inches
in diameter and stands 1 ¾ inches tall. The mouth is 2 1/8 inches in diameter.
the salt stands on three feet. Above each foot is an oriental style head with a
pointed hat. The bottom carries the lion silver standard hallmark, the London
city mark, the head of Queen Victoria, and the date letter for 1843. It also
carries the “FD” makers mark for Frederick Dear (Registered Jan. 1839). The
piece has no damage, and has clear hallmarks. It weighs 91.6 grams. Buyer pays
